Hey there, I'm Shanna Skidmore!
I should have known it would end up like this...
While others girls grew up playing "house", I was more interested in playing bank.
For a long time I felt like a misfit puzzle, with degrees in art, psychology and business, I never knew how all the pieces came together. My senior year of college led to an internship at a financial firm and my career crunching numbers began. Though I loved my days wearing 3-inch high heels and black power suits as a Fortune 100 financial advisor, it wasn't until 7 years into my finance career that I found my calling (in the most unlikely of places!)
A trip to the goat farm to try my hand at floral design is where I met Amy. After years in business she was still unable to take a consistent paycheck from her floral design business. A financial advisor had recently told her that her business was bankrupt, a single mom with three young boys, limping along making no money was no longer an option. That’s when our paths crossed and everything changed…for both of us.
