FEBRUARY SKIDMORE CHALLENGE DAY 4 : ENOUGH

"Her success does not threaten mine." Or does it?

Most people are deeply scripted in what I call the Scarcity Mentality. They see life as having only so much, as though there were only one pie out there. And if someone were to get a big piece of the pie, it would mean less for everybody else. - Stephen Covey, 7 Habits of Highly Successful People

Oh how I wish I never wondered.... "is there enough?" Or worse, "Am I enough?"

My friend Britt describes it as that yucky feeling... that one that hits you right in your gut. That moment you feel threatened. You want to cheer them on, but at the same time very opposite emotions are flustering inside you. It feels gross. It's full of guilt and mixed struggle. Shame.

What would it look like to really live in the Enough Mentality. Truly?

Often we are so focused on more we cannot be happy with enough
— Shanna Skidmore

I've found the best way to jump off the "more, more, MORE" treadmill, is to clearly define ENOUGH! What is enough for you? Personally? Professionally? How many clients do you need to pay your bills and cover business expenses? Wouldn't it be great to start here, cover the need first, and then maybe think about a little extra.
