The diet starts tomorrow.
What can I say, the macaroni and cheese was calling. I fell to the temptation again. Why does it always seem to happen this way? January is quickly coming to an end. Another year begun, and another month gone by. Am I getting anywhere?
Statistics show, 80% of New Years Resolutions are busted by the end of January. Causing many to stop making resolutions all together.
As I sit and review my January goals, a wave of discouragement washes over me. I achieved some really big goals in January, like really huge. Like half my annual sales goal huge.
So, why am I not celebrating?
I've come to learn it comes back to the little things, those "big rocks", the non-negotiables. When we put the most important things in FIRST (those big rocks), the rest always seems to get done (the little rocks fall in around them).
Yet how often do we let the big things go first?
- Exercise and health
- Family and being present
- Time away
Achieving the big goals will never outweigh failing the most important goals.
So if you're like me and you're looking back at January thinking "it just went by too quickly", let's recommit to putting the most important things first.

Daily - Quiet time with the Lord
Daily - 30+ minutes of exercises
Weekly - One date night with Kyle
Because I promise, if you achieve the MOST IMPORTANT goals first, no matter else happens, you'll feel proud of your monthly accomplishments!
