We packed our bags, bought a roof box and practiced setting up the tent. We wondered how Sadie would do on the road, we wondered what 10 weeks away would look like, we wondered.... and we wandered.

Ten weeks, Twenty states, Two Canadian provinces.

I didn't realize how attached I had become until the road forced me to get uncomfortable. Days without internet, dead batteries, $10 an hour wi-fi. But as the days and miles passed by, so did much of the anxiety I had been feeling.

What if it's the same noise we think is saving us, that is actually keeping us from surviving?
